 About us
I'm Laura Helander - one who has fallen in love with cats. My family consists of me and my man Jarkko. We live in southern-western part of Finland, in a city called Turku (or Ĺbo in Swedish). It's about 170 km to east from Helsinki (capital). I work as a medical technologist (bioanalysist) in private medical center. I have specialised in clinical physiology and neurophysiology.

Our first cat was a silvertigré/white housecat boy called Poju. He wasn't even 2 years old when he died suddlenly in the middle of playing. Diagnosis was chronic proliferative vasculitis. We miss him very much! He is the reason why we love cats! And specially that wonderful silver colour :)

Now we live with eight cats (two housecat-ladies - Nelli and Hilla - and 6 norwegian forest cats - Yanna, Elvis, Molla, Afri, Fuku and Jimi) and also with one rabbit (Viljo)

 About breeding
We are a small cattery where cats live as family members. I got my catteryname in June 2004. Our first litter was born in 05.05.05.

Our goal is to have healthy and standard-like cats with lovely temperature! We use only healthy cats with wonderful old fashion pedigrees! We don't want breed x-colours or anything else strange. I very much respect old lines where you'll find nothing strange. I just love those traditional wegies - but it is just my opinion. We have also trying to avoid in our pedigrees those big catteries whom have cats everywhere.

Year 2009 - 3rd best norwegian forest cat breeder in Finland (and also in Turok in category II)
Year 2008 - 3rd best norwegian forest cat breeder in Finland (and also in Turok in category II)

I'm very honored about this success in breeding. Because we have so many breeders here (60-70) and competition is tough. And we are also smal cattery and we don't have many kittens each year :) But luckily quality trumps quantity ;)

 About name
Word Leoline comes from the word "feline". "Leo" are from those beautiful big cats - lion and leopard. (Lion is in Finnish "leijona" and leopard is "leopardi".)
